* Results are for a choice experiment in which all stages between 4-1 (4th instar, Stage 1) and 4-6 had been subjected to parasitism. For parasitoid eggs and for the non-penetrating (NP) parasitoid larva, host nymphs were examined 48 and 72 hours following parasitization, respectively. Parasitized nymphs with eggs and non-penetrating larvae beneath them were collected from 16 and 34 different whitefly-infested leaves, respectively. See Materials and Methods for details. The Chi Square Test of Independence followed by the Freeman-Tukey deviate test was used to determine if there were significant differences among percentages for each group, i.e., hosts with eggs and hosts with NP larvae, respectively (α ≤ 0.01). Percentages with different upper case letters were significantly different. Similarly, percentages with different lower case letters were significantly different.
** = Stage 7 or higher
