Fig. 4: Percent fertilized females. For each cross, single males were introduced to a vial containing five females on day one. On day five the male was discarded and the females were separated into individual vials. Those females that produced offspring post day five were considered fertilized. In all cases the ome1 males were less successful at fertilizing females. 'n' is the number of females in the sample. 'n < 50' indicates that some females died/escaped prior to determining whether or not they had been successfully fertilized.
