Female pupal wings were dissected from pupae just after pupation and cultured with various doses of 20-hydoroxyecdysone (20E) and ecdysone (E). Morphological changes were observed with a binocular microscope. For each ecdysteroid concentration, 5-10 wings were tested. The time (in days) required for complete wing degeneration in average is shown in the table. *Two of five pupa tested showed no morphological changes.
